The Trollfjord is known for its dramatic landscape, with steep mountains plunging straight into the emerald green water. The fjord is also home to a rich wildlife, including sea eagles and seals. A trip here gives you the opportunity to experience this wonderful ecosystem up close and a hike to Trollfjordhytta a fantastic view. Remember to respect the vulnerable natural area and follow all guidelines to protect it.
The cabin, part of DNT (The Norwegian Tourist Association), is a mountain paradise with a fantastic view over the Trollfjord where you can stay one or more nights.
If you like sharp peaks, you've come to the right place. But remember, the mountains here are so spectacular, but also very demanding that you should know what you are doing before you set out on them.
Trollfjordhytta is also one of Norway's most spectacular winter hiking destinations for those who seek out steep slopes in winter. Hardly anywhere else you will find so many untried snow descents.

The tour starts directly from the main square in Svolvær.
We give you a safety briefing and all the necessary equipment, and then we go to Trollfjordhytta, which lies right above Trollfjord.

You should always inform yourself well and in advance in order to prepare in the best possible way and avoid taking unnecessary risks.
Remember that usually there is no telephone reception or internet connection in and near the cabin areas, therefore it is very important that you make sure you agree with us a pick-up day and time back to Svolvær in advance.
Right by the cabin you will find Isvasshaugen (marked height 504 on the map) where you also have mobile phone coverage.
The meeting place is at our ticket office at least 20 minutes before departure.

Before departure, you will receive all the necessary equipment: warm flotation suit, life jacket, goggles and gloves, which you can put on our boat as soon as we arrive at Trollfjord.
We reserve the right to cancel in the event of adverse weather conditions and/or other unforeseen events.
If you need to cancel, you can either decide to move the trip to another available slot or have the trip refunded at no extra cost.

If you wish to cancel, please contact us at least 24 hours before the start of your journey and we will give you a full refund. Any cancellation requests received later than that do not entitle you to any refund.
